Hello, this is Richard Jacobs with Speakeasy Authority Marketing. Recently, I sat down and took a few hours and wrote down everything I could think of using all my experience of working with hundreds of law firms and years in the business to think of everything I could think of possibly that a law firm and an attorney can do to grow their business, I covered subjects such as Yelp, Google, SEO, media, publicity, getting reviews, I mean just tons and tons of stuff from the technical to the positioning and the soft type activities you could do, like building up your expertise, your perceived status and that kind of thing. So it’s done. I have a PDF checklist; I think it has about 170 items on it. It’s quite extensive. And again, it covers every area I can think of so far I wanted to be adding to it. But what I wanted to do was make it available to you. And here is how I think you can use it; here is how we are going to use it.

So with our clients, when one of them is doing well but wants to do better, or we need to improve their results, we’re going to refer to this checklist and say, “What are we doing for them, what else could we be doing, and add that in or talk to the client about that and see what else we could offer”. Again, this could be adding live chat to a website, starting a Google Pay Per Click campaign, or a Yahoo or a Bing one. It could be bolstering their Yelp or AVVO profile. It could be using scripts to talk to incoming clients in a better way and to get them to convert better. It could be funny way to offer payment plans to people that don’t have money to pay your fees upfront and relieve the pressure of people with not enough money or competitors that lowball retainer fees, so it covers all these areas. That’s how we’re going to use it internally with our clients. And for you, in your firm, in your business, you may be doing a lot of things right. You may not know where to start, you may just want one more thing that you might not have thought of that’ll give you an edge, and I think this checklist is really going to help you. So go ahead and download it at the end of this podcast and use it, look it over in this next week. It may be overwhelming at first, that’s okay, but print it out and keep it with you. It’s something that you can refer to over and over as things progress and as you’re changing, growing your firm and you’ll get different ideas from it.
