What Does A Sales Development Representative Do?
The SDR position is fully remote with a flexible day schedule. Here’s the job in a nutshell:
- Onboarding: We’ll provide formal training on our business, legal marketing, and your role.
- Lead Generation: You’ll receive a daily list of leads, along with a proven script and a checklist of qualifying criteria.
- Appointment Setting: Your job is to call the leads, build rapport, work through the script, ensure they qualify, and schedule them for a strategy session with our specialist.
- Follow-Up: Maintain detailed records of interactions and follow up as necessary.
You will not be required to close deals or collect money. Your goal is to ensure the right prospects start thinking about working with us and to secure an appointment with our specialist. Long-term success is measured by your ability to help us find good long-term clients.
Benefits
- Flexible Schedule: Work around 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
- Compensation: Base pay is provided weekly, plus bonuses and commissions.
- Mental Health Days: After the initial 30 days, you will be eligible for two paid mental health days per month, available to you at your discretion.
- (Note: These days do not “roll over” if unused. Max. two days available per month.)
- Few Cold Leads: Most calls are “warm,” as many of our prospects are familiar with the company via our founder’s email newsletter.
- Paid Training: Paid onboarding, training on the Sandler sales method, and ongoing coaching via weekly team meetings are provided to help you maximize your earnings.
Qualifications
This role is perfect for someone looking to develop a career in sales, marketing, business, or entrepreneurship. There is no minimum sales experience required. We have team members with decades of experience, as well as those who are early on in their sales career. Candidates will be chosen based on our perception of their abilities and interest in this work.
Here are the qualifications we’re looking for…
Required
- Reliable Online Access: Must have consistent access to high-speed internet via an ethernet cable and a quiet place to work.
- Hardware On Hand: You’ll need to own a functional computer and headset.
- Tenacious Attitude: Ability to handle rejection and persistently pursue new leads to meet appointment-setting targets.
- Willingness To Learn: Open to learn, train, and practice the Sandler sales methodology with the team.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: You’ll need to be able to think on your feet and gracefully smooth over challenging situations with unfamiliar people
Preferred
- Sales and/or collections experience (not required).
Compensation And Payment Terms
- Training Pay: $250 for the week of training if you attend all meetings, review all training material, write a synopsis on each training video, and pass the Q&A.
- Daily/Weekly Compensation: $100 per day ($500 a week), plus $100 per week for attending all meetings. Total base weekly compensation = $600 per week.
- Bonuses:
- $50 bonus for each appointment set above 5 in a calendar week (6th set and above).
- $100 bonus if your appointment is held, pitched, and a contract is sent out by the Closer.
- $100 bonus if your appointment results in a paid and closed deal by the Closer.
- Payment: Weekly by direct deposit using bill.com. Submit your invoice each Friday by 10 PM Eastern Time (U.S.) for direct deposit within 5-6 business days.
